Detection: If necessary the extract was diluted appropriately with the HPLC mobile phase before filtrated through a 0.45 µm membrane filter. 40 µL were injected into a HPLC system. Please see HPLC application 11
Conditions: Sample aspiration: 20 mL of the saponified sample solution were poured onto the Chromabond cartridge and allowed to absorb for 15 min.
Column washing: No washing was proceeded.
Elution: The vitamins were eluted, using 100 mL of n-hexane (containing 5 mg BHT; 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol).
Evaporation: The eluates were brought to dryness by a steam of nitrogen and the residue was dissolved in 4 mL of HPLC mobile phase.
